The Libcon cuts leaflet 2. - the latest leaflet
Chelmsford no to cuts (petition)
CATC Leaflet (Sept-Oct)
It is worth checking the formatting of the leaflet, as you may have a different version of the computer programme, which may affect the lay-out when you come to print it.
Sorry that I am an angsty one, and I am now feeling regretful for attacking your leaflets as dreary.
However, I offer this as a critical friend, the file formats you have in your documents is all confused and doesn’t lend itself to dissemination. One of them is even a .docx file, not everyone has got Microsoft Office!
Also some of the content of the leaflets is more suited to being website content as opposed to flyers. Flyers laden with detail annoy people.
Need to get them to come to the site and engage.
and
P Williamson. I mean you no real disrespect, I am sure you are a lovely person, but you really ticked me off, much grrr, the internet is not always good for communication but if I give out I prepared to receive, I am not perfect.
Just as a quick reply on the technical issue, if you can’t open a .docx file visit http://www.zamzar.com. The site can convert file formats for you for free.
Obviously you will then need to check the formatting of texts on leaflets etc. before printing and possibly re-adjust.
P Williamson you said you “….would rather live on a compound in Saudi Arabia than this miserable and unfair country.”
Well then mate, clear off, did you want any help to pack your bags? No one needs your stinking attitude, you ain’t gonna get anywhere thinking like that and your certainly ain’t gonna get any support with ideas like that.
As for ageism, it works two ways, I personally have had more than enough of useless faffers with higher salaries clogging up the job market when it is clear that they haven’t been able to effectively keep up with the changing world of work for a long time.
Get a positive attitude mate, and be grateful, I won’t get a bloody pension at this rate, so please bare that in mind if you want to politically engage with the younger generations.
Shortly I will be supporting this group and its endeavours, and I am hoping you sir are not representative of the type of activist this group comprises of.
Marching about, waving banners, writing dreary leaflets and whining endlessly on about how unfair things about hasn’t really achieved anything for the Chelmsford TUC for the last 30 years or so has it really?
Looking forward to hopefully meeting up with some of you soon, do I hope I haven’t upset anyone too much. These days before I say something in public I make sure I meant to say it.
As I said on another comment, we appreciate all views, and it takes a lot to upset us – except wholly unnecessary cuts of course!
We look forward to seeing you soon!
I retired in june 2008 not because i wanted to but due to the state of the job market and ongoing ageism. I was an accountant in the construction industry at home and overseas. I am now trying to survive on a pathetic pension and I am very worried about the future of this country.
I note that VAT is to increase, petrol prices are at a ridiculous high with inflatiion affecting food prices on a daily basis let alone energy prices.
I would rather live on a compound in Saudi Arabia than this miserable and unfair country.
When are politicians going to realise they are accountable to the people they represent. What has happened to our steel industry, mining, shipbuilding, motor car manufacture, construction and other manufacturing operations. I note that Cadburys are now relocating overseas and there is doubt about British workers building our two aircraft carriers funded by the British Taxpayer.
Maybe we should all leave, turn the lights out and go to Australia.
